Books & Resources
These are some of my all time favourite health and well-being books, packed with ideas, inspiration and truths. Happy reading!
‘Radical Healing’ by Dr. Rudolph Ballentine
A fantastic insight into holistic health and how to bring about whole body healing via Eastern and Western healing ideas. It is easy to read and the ideas flow and blend brilliantly!
‘The Nature Doctor’ by Alfred Vogel
Alfred Vogel was a Swiss Naturopath who dedicated his life to studying and sharing traditional folk medicine and this book expounds all his ideas on naturopathy, nutrition and herbalism. He is famously quoted as saying “it is never to late to support Nature in its tendency to cure since the laws of nature command the preservation of life”.
‘Fats that Heal, Fats that Kill’ by Udo Erasmus
The book that tells you all you will ever need to know about fats and oils; their benefits and uses, how harmful processing techniques are damaging our fats and how you can use fats for healing.
‘Cellular Awakening’ by Barbara Wren
Another classic naturopathic text that explains the importance of light and cleansing techniques to health and well-being. The book includes simple guidelines for many cleansing techniques such as castor oil packing, enemas and skin brushing.
‘Adrenal Fatigue: the 21st Century Stress Syndrome’ by James L.Wilson
An interesting exploration of the effects of exhaustion on the body, and some steps to take towards recovery.
‘A Life Without Limits’ by Chrissie Wellington
Chrissie Wellington is the UK’s top female triathlete and the holder of multiple world records. Her story is honest, inspiring and uplifting for weekend warriors, couch potatoes and elite athletes alike!
